On 13 October 2026, the Odoo Supply Chain & Manufacturing Business Show brought together business leaders, manufacturing teams and technology professionals at Cinnamon Grand Colombo. Mawkish Technologies was proud to be a main sponsor of the event. It was an afternoon focused on one question that many Sri Lankan manufacturers are asking: how do we connect our operations so the whole business runs on the same information?
Connecting the whole operation
For many manufacturers, purchasing, inventory, production and finance still sit in separate systems or spreadsheets. That makes it harder to plan accurately, control costs and respond quickly to customers. The event explored how Odoo brings these functions together in one platform. A purchase order, a stock movement, a production run and the resulting financial entries can then all connect to each other.
The live demonstration
A highlight of the afternoon was the live demonstration. Attendees watched how Odoo handles a real manufacturing workflow from start to finish. Seeing the system in action, rather than on a slide, gave businesses a clear picture of how an integrated ERP could fit their own day-to-day operations.
The ERP panel discussion
The panel discussion turned to the practical side of ERP adoption: what it takes to implement a system successfully and what businesses should consider before they start. Our CEO, Michael Gunawardena, joined the panel to share his perspective on ERP implementation, drawing on Mawkish’s experience helping organizations through digital transformation.
Conversations at our booth
Some of the most valuable moments happened at the Mawkish booth. We met businesses that want to improve their operations, and every conversation was different. Some teams were looking for better inventory visibility, others wanted tighter production planning, and many wanted their operational and financial data to finally tell the same story. It was a pleasure to exchange ideas and hear directly about the challenges local manufacturers are working to solve.
